Carney Lifting Beams

Carney lifting beams are engineered for safe and efficient handling of industrial batteries in demanding maintenance and material handling environments. Designed for use with overhead hoists, gantry cranes, and other lifting equipment, they provide controlled, secure lifting during battery installation, removal, and servicing.

Manufactured from structural grade aluminum alloy, the beams deliver high strength while remaining lightweight for easier day-to-day handling. A 5mm protective coating of acid-resistant, non-conductive plastisol enhances durability and protects against harsh battery room conditions, improving both safety and service life.

The beam features a fast and secure width adjustment system, accommodating battery sizes from 21” (533mm) up to 43” (1,092mm), making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Its single-handed operation allows operators to safely lift, position, and release batteries without reaching across the load, reducing strain and improving safety.

With a 6,000 lbs lifting capacity and a lightweight 49 lb design, the unit is easy to maneuver, transport, and store when not in use. It is also designed to work with covered batteries and complies with or exceeds OSHA safety standards.
